Increase Penalties for Drunken Drivers

Since 2002, there are nine law enforcement officers have been killed by drunken drivers. The widows of the dead officers enforce the law to enhance penalties for drunken drivers, for example extend the years of penalties in jail. If the drunken drivers killed first responders, they may serve in prison for the rest of their lives. Governor Perry signed the Medlin-Freeto Act to make people take this issue seriously and avoid drinking and driving. The drunken drivers not only kill people, but destroy the whole families. It is necessary to let violators take more responsibility for their misbehavior.

Good start. A few small things:

1) Add a list of suggested sources (a blogroll), using the list of Suggested Sources from the syllabus. Take a look at my demo blog
Kris S. Seago's Demo Govt 2306 Blog to see how I've broken out the mainstream newspapers and blogs on the right hand side. Use Blogger's Customize feature and add a Link List page element.

2) Think about a more exciting title for your blog. Nina's Texas Government Blog? Nina Chen's Big Thoughts About Texas Government? How Nina Sees Texas?

3) Try to clean up the Article Link. The html code to embed the link in the article title is:

Law offers some comfort for officers' kin

4) Watch your spelling and grammar. Think of this series of exercises as publishing papers via the internet rather than handing them in on paper.

It's hard to write in Blogger's confined spaces. You've got a spelling error in the title of your first article. You might think about writing your materials in a word processor (and running grammar and spell check) and then pasting the cleaned up results in Blogger....

Nonetheless, a good start.

Good start. Will all your posts concern similar issues?
